Dr. Nancy Abdel-Wahab, MD

Dr. Nancy Abdel-Wahab is a board-certified psychiatrist with over 20 years of experience in adult and adolescent mental health care. She currently serves as Psychiatric Site Medical Director at Westchester Square, where she leads clinical services and provides comprehensive, patient-centered care within a large community health system.
Dr. Abdel-Wahab specializes in anxiety disorders, trauma, and PTSD, and is board-certified in child and adolescent psychiatry. Her work is grounded in evidence-based practice, with a strong emphasis on clinical rigor, safety, and individualized treatment across the lifespan.
She completed her undergraduate education at Duke University and earned her medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School. She went on to complete her residency and fellowship training at the University of Illinois in Chicago and Mount Sinai School of Medicine, with advanced specialization in child and adolescent psychiatry.
Throughout her career, Dr. Abdel-Wahab has held leadership and clinical roles across diverse care settings, including community mental health and specialized programs such as the Young Adult Institute in Long Island City. She has extensive experience in both in-person and telepsychiatry care.
